Superlative, no aqui. The state of “isness”

Sometimes it takes decades to understand the concept that there is no “best”,  perhaps no “favorites”,  most likely no “most beautiful”,  certainly no “most spectacular” and definitely no “most impressive”.   It’s true about all people,  place and things.   It’s true of the Pyrenees.  It ” is”.  We’ve been reminded of this over and over again during our two weeks in these grande mountains.   The proof may just be in the picture….

    1. Hi Kathy!!!!!! So good to hear from you!!! School starts soon and I want to hear all about it!!! Thanks for following.. Makes me a little less homesick….

  3. Well, if that’s not “most spectacular” or “most impressive”, it surely is close! In answer to your question from “hearts boil over”, we haven’t been to Spain. We only had a week of cycling in the south of France, so no insights from me I’m afraid. How’s your Spanish? While riding in France, Carol and I kept crossing paths with a group of 6 Spanish riders. A couple of them were on Orbeas (Carol’s road bike), which got us started trying to communicate — emphasis on “trying”. Simply because we were in France, I suppose, all 8 of us were trying to speak French with absolutely minimal success. As Carol and I rode away, we realized things might have gone a bit better had we tried to use our rudimentary Spanish. Duh! I am sure you guys are way more with it than that.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Paul.. Stay tuned for the camino report.. We’re researching it for you and Carol.. Our Spanish gets us by or maybe gets us in trouble… Not sure which one yet.. Will let you know…

  4. Yes, you two are just little cutie patooties and look very blissful. It’s really great to keep getting these posts. Hugs, RG

    1. Thanks for commenting Chica. We’re on the Camino de Santiago del Norte now… Not sure it’s a good hiking route.. Way too much tarmac for us kind who like to hike on dirt but it’s great for the bike… Xo Rita Gail

  5. Patti, you are an inspiration. I miss you (and so do Liz and Katie–they just said so via emails you likely don’t get anymore… not missing much!)! The trip looks amazing. Courage and love! I started PT today for my knee issues so I can hike the PCT in 2015. Whoo Hoo! Thanks again for the inspiration. What is life for anyway?

    1. PCT in 2015… Awesome.. All it takes is the decision to do so.. Well, and a little planning. Santa Fe is on our short list when we get back.. Miss you too!!
